Full Time Work Opportunity

Kingsdown Nurseries are looking for a hardworking and positive individual to join our operations team. The job will be varied and interesting and will involve the following duties:

  • Helping to unload inbound deliveries.
  • Breaking down deliveries into customer orders.
  • Assisting with loading outgoing delivery vehicles.
  • Potting and helping with plant production and care.
  • General maintenance work around the nursery.
  • Possible relief van driving.
  • Helping to implement our plant biosecurity scheme.

The applicant will need to be prepared to work in all weathers, be strong and fit, have plant ID skills, general handyman ability and ideally be able to drive a forklift.

Start date, early October.

Winter Work Opportunity

Kingsdown Nurseries are looking for help during our busy winter season. The role would include joining our operations team helping to unload trees and hedging from incoming deliveries, sorting the plants into customer orders and assisting with re loading into outgoing delivery vehicles.

The work may include occasional driving of our delivery vans and helping with production work.

Some tree and plant knowledge would be useful. A full driving licence is required. Ability to use a forklift would be beneficial, but not essential.

We are needing someone from November to April, Monday to Friday. Normal working hours are 7.00am to 5.00pm. There may not always be a full day’s work but a generous hourly rate will be offered to the suitable applicant.
